ITK Long-Term Maintenance Phase

The Two-Year ITK Long-Term Maintenance Phase (ITK LTMP) for members’ who have reached their goal weight and need to maintain it is a crucial part to the success of the overall ITK Wave Diet. Once you understand the basics of food and its effects on your body, it is time to go into a mode of maintenance, ensuring that you continue to monitor your weight to avoid reverting to old habits, which millions of individuals do on an annual basis. The ITK LTMP will greatly increase your chance of keeping the weight you have lost off and to keep it off for life.

THE ITK MAINTENANCE ARSENAL

SUPPORT GROUPS

Studies show that the highest percentage of weight loss maintenance comes from people who have continued with support groups for at least a year. Often the support consists of attending group meetings at least twice per month; however it has also been shown that online support and online social groups have yielded the same success rate.

On our ITK LTMP, you will continue to receive the support and online group interaction which will significantly increase your chances of keeping off the weight.

JOURNALING

Another significant tool in maintaining weight loss is journaling. Through your coach you will be able to get support, feedback and suggestions.

Before and After Photo comparisons

Before and after photo comparisons can be done based on photos we have on file. It has been shown that remembering where we are coming from has helped with the first year of maintenance.

WEIGHT TRACKING

National Weight Control Registry shows that ¾ of persons who keep their weight off, track their weight periodically.
