WHAT CAN YOU EAT?

Meal assignments which vary from week to week include all types of proteins, vegetables, eggs, fruit, wholewheat bread, and fibre cereals. Whatever you would normally use to shop at the supermarket is on a meal assignment. We tell you when and how much to eat without supplements or injections. The diet allows for cheat meals on special occasions and meals change every week, to avoid boredom.

WHAT DO MEMBERS HAVE TO DO?

Every week a new meal assignment is posted to members’ Online Progress Report Screen, where details on what you are to eat, portions and times are all outlined. ITKarians learn to live by the five “Ps” to become successful at their weight loss. The five ITK Ps are Plan, Prepare, Portion, Package and Partake. Once these are done on a daily basis according to your individual meal assignments, weight loss is guaranteed.

MUST HAVES

All Members must have the following:

  • A digital scale
  • Recommended protein shake
  • Be able to prepare assigned meals daily
  • Computer access or smartphone
  • A desire to lose weight and change old habits

My Intekai journey started on March 9, 2020 with a weight of 238 1lbs and height 5 feet 8 inches. Prior to this I was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis, PCOS and since two years ago, spondylolisthesis and was warned of developing diabetes if I continue on the same pathway.

I was hardly ever out of pain. I have days when I could hardly get up out of my bed. I was always afraid of rainy and overcast days because of the pains, however, these days I hardly give attention to the weather. The numbness, joint pains, cramps are very minimal.

Since starting the programme and adhering to the meal assignments I can truly say my pains are almost gone and I am feeling more energetic. Some of the symptoms of PCOS are gone and I believe that I am nowhere near diabetes.

To truly get the results from the programme, adherence and consistency are critical. Additionally, the support from the coach makes the journey easier and manageable. Today, September 12, 2020, my weight is 203 lbs. I am not at my ideal weight but I am on a pathway to reach it.

My ITK Journey
Since starting my ITK journey 3 years ago, I must say that this has been the BEST and most conscious decision that I have ever made for my health. It has become a lifestyle, not a fad.

I was introduced to ITK by friends of mine who were members. Initially, I was not interested as I saw it as too tedious and routine (I am not a routine person) and I was afraid that if I could not commit to the process then failure would be inevitable.

 

My decision to try ITK came when I reached a weight of nearly 170 (same weight I was when I delivered my twin girls 15 years ago!) Needless to say, I was overweight, unhappy, felt sluggish and lacking in self-esteem. I finally decided to call the ITK office and asked for a consultation. BEST DECISION EVER!!!

I started my ITK journey without telling anyone what I was doing as I did not want to feel pressured or accountable when I was cheating on my meals  Of course I cheated MANY times as most of the bad foods I loved seemed like a HUGE sacrifice for me. However, on seeing small positive results over time in my weight loss and feeling energetic and receiving many compliments, I decided to push harder each time. I combined my ITK assignments with exercise which I found helped me mentally to cope.

My ITK coaches Andrea Bryan and George Rattray were huge motivating support. I couldn’t have done it without them. Each time I messed up I was encouraged to keep pushing through. I am now 30 pounds less than I used to be and much healthier, happier and confident.

A bonus for me was having my 15 year-old daughter who became ill 2 years ago with a viral infection, was motivated by my journey to also start eating healthier. She has made HUGE strides herself in moving from size 18 to size 6, much healthier with no issues and is now the one motivating me to keep being healthy. My entire family has also made better choices themselves as a result of being motivated by me and we are now IN IT TO WIN IT!!! Stronger together…

Sooo, 2 weeks on the Wave Boost 800 and I am down almost 10 lbs. I suffer a little set-back this weekend but I'm not floored... like a good ole faithful I'm all dusted off already and ready for week 3. I'm looking forward to 5 more lbs or more down by the end of this week. End of September (birthday) goal is 20 lbs down. I'm losing inches too, my clothes are fitting better. I have 3 1/2 more weeks to go so it's more than possible. Cheer me on...
