Homemade Snickerdoodles

Ingredients

13 cup butter, softened

1 cup sugar

1 teaspoon baking powder

½ teaspoon ground nutmeg

14 teaspoon baking soda

13 cup fat-free sour cream

14 cup fat-free egg product

1 teaspoon vanilla

2 cups all-purpose flour

2 tablespoons sugar

Directions

  1. In large bowl, beat butter with electric mixer on medium speed 30 seconds. Add 1 cup sugar, the baking powder, nutmeg and baking soda; beat until combined. Beat in sour cream, egg product and vanilla. Beat in as much of the flour as you can with the mixer. Using wooden spoon, stir in any remaining flour. Cover; refrigerate dough 1 to 2 hours or until easy to handle.
  2. Heat oven to 375°F. Lightly spray 2 cookie sheets with cooking spray. In small bowl, place 2 tablespoons sugar. Shape dough into 1-inch balls. Roll balls in sugar. Place 2 inches apart on cookie sheets.
  3. Bake 10 to 11 minutes or until edges are golden brown. Transfer cookies from cookie sheets to cooling racks.
